Under-16 Six-a-Side Football Cup Announced

CHOCO is pleased to announce an under 16 six-a-side football cup, called CHOCO Cup 2009. The tournament will be held in Zone 7 Stadium, and will start on 20th December 2009. The deadline to participate is 18th December 2009. The rules of the cup and the entry forms could be downloaded below.

As the end-of-the-year holidays are passing by, CHOCO has decided to carry out a six-a-side soccer tournament among the under-16 youths from all over Thinadhoo. CHOCO believes that a tournament like this would give the young players a chance to show their skills and improve them, so that they could shine brighter as star-players of tomorrow. Also it would freshen up their minds and give them a great opportunity to develop a strong teamwork culture among the youth living in different areas of the island. This is a free-to-participate tournament, with the general soccer rules of FIFA.

All the kids in town, please come forward and show your skills and teamwork. You never know how far you could reach with a simple first step. As CHOCO founder member, Athuhar Ibrahim Rasheed says, "opportunities are rare in this world. One must grab the opportunities when it comes along. This cup would be a great opportunity for the kids. We are here to help them to bring their talents to the limelight".
